It’s been three years since Viagra became available on the black market, and the news has caused a lot of alarm among some men.

The drug is a generic version of Pfizer Inc.’s erectile dysfunction drug Viagra, which is still under patent protection. A man who uses Viagra to treat his erectile dysfunction can take a generic version of the drug and not have to worry about side effects.
But the drug was never discovered until a study published in the British Medical Journal in January found that men who took a Viagra-like drug, such as Pfizer, had a slightly increased risk of developing erectile dysfunction.
“The idea that Viagra is a safe way to treat erectile dysfunction seems quite unlikely,” said Dr.
Viagra is the brand name for the drug sildenafil citrate, the active ingredient in Viagra, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men. It is also used to treat pulmonary hypertension.

“There are a number of possible reasons men may not have erectile dysfunction,” said Dr. Kramer, professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins.
He said men with erectile dysfunction who take drugs to treat their erectile dysfunction may not benefit from trying Viagra. Men with other health conditions could benefit from the drug.
“We’re not trying to get a pill that’s easy to pop, but it’s going to make a big difference for men who have erectile dysfunction,” said Kramer.
For example, he said he believes that erectile dysfunction, particularly impotence, may be linked to poor blood flow to the penis.
Viagra may also improve blood flow to the penis in some men, but it does not cure the condition. Other drugs that could help treat erectile dysfunction include:
